Jalandhara bandha yoga is also called chin lock in English. It is made up of two words jaal and dhar, jala means net i.e. the net of the pulse and dhar means stop of the liquid i.e. blockage of the fluid flowing in the nadis. Method of doing Jalandhara Bandha Yoga –

1 – First of all, lay a yoga mat on the ground and sit on it in the state of Vajrasana or Sukhasan.

2- Now straighten the waist and place the palms on the knees.

3 – Now raise your shoulders and keep your eyes closed.

4- Now breathe slowly and hold your breath for a while, keep your waist straight and tilt the body forward.

5 – Now bend the head and neck and touch the chin to the chest.

6 – Do not try to apply more force during this.

7 – Stay in this state till you hold your breath.

8 – After that, slowly leave the breath and come back to the old state.

9 – After this, rest for a few seconds. Repeat the same process again.

1- If you are a patient of high blood pressure or heart disease, then do not do this asana.

2- If a person is suffering from the problem of dizziness, then he should also not do this mudra.

3- Those who are troubled by back pain, fast heartbeat etc., they should also not do this yoga.

4- Those who are suffering from cervical problems should also not do this yoga.
